GIHA ARENA RULES

1. Each rider/driver/coach/clinician must be a paid up member of GIHA or pay a $25 fee for use. They must also be HCBC (Horse Council of BC) members in good standing. Arena users must sign a liability/waiver form (see below) for GIHA before riding in the arena. Waivers are located in the judge’s booth or can be printed from the giha.ca website.
2. Current ASTM approved helmets are strongly recommended to be worn by all riders.
3. Riders 18 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
4. Coaches and Clinicians must have current liability insurance.
5. Currently, we do not have a daily booking policy for general use. If you are wanting to use the arena for lessons, clinics, or events, they must be pre-booked via giha.saltspring@gmail.com and will be posted online and at the arena. 
6. If the arena is in use, please negotiate joint use and respect each other. It is usual practice to pass left hand to left hand, as per driving on the highway. If joint use is unsafe, the first in the arena has priority, to a maximum duration of 45 minutes. If the arena is set up with flagged or numbered equipment, please do not alter it.
7. Please scoop poop and deposit it in the manure pile.
8. Please take home all garbage and recyclables.
